Cayman Islands to deploy genetically modified mosquitoes
In 2013 synthetic GM Mosquitoes where released over a small town in Brazil by a startup company funded by Bill Gates. It did not go as planned, the synthetic GM Mosquitoe's offspring adapted and survived spreading their synthetic altered DNA into the natural Mosquitoe population. A recent study shows synthetic GM female mosquitoes survived and are now spreading into other Mosquitoe species. Only females bite humans for blood.
